It is very simple. You do not have hair to pull and a professional looking website. Thanks to something known as a WYSIWYG editor or website builder.

WYSIWYG (pronounced "wizzy wig") stands for What You See Is What You Get. As the name suggests, this is a tool that allows you to make your site to see how it would look in a browser while you build it.

For people who are busy do not have the time and / or idea to learn HTML, and not over several thousand dollars to pay a web designer, this is the best option.

But, WYSIWYG editors are not equal. Some require that you have a masochistic streak. It can be frustrating to work with.

My experience with the site owners / editors have an encounter with the good, the bad and the very ugly. Let's take a look at some of the better, its drawbacks and limitations.

Note: This article assumes that you are willing to part with some money for a quality website builder, most likely the results you are looking for. If you have something good and for free please move on and good luck.

Complete website: One of the simplest and cheapest. Ideal for someone starting.

Comes with 400 + templates, plus a multitude of images. Spell-checker, FTP (File Transfer Protocol) and a preview, and is an interactive guide that is easy to follow. Custom buttons and pages are easy to edit and paste.

Downside / Limitations: You can only publish your website, as a package with built in FTP client. Java is not well supported. Works best with the hosting of the publisher.

Drawing: Drawing is a fully featured low-cost Web site builder. The learning curve is a little more on these additional features, but if you get the hang of it you are on the roll.

It comes with built in WYSIWYG FTP, spell checking and preview. Tables and forms are simple and / or edit. Custom Java Scripts and also easy to handle. Very good software that you are.

Downside / Limitations: I have none, unless the user guide, which is a little hard to understand.

Web Easy Pro: This will make you some pretty nice results, if a small (two to three pages), simple website.

But, run the custom scripts (particularly Java), and it begins to ... well, suck. Your page might not even be seen and was able to spend too much time to publish only one side.

Web Easy Pro comes with a good selection of templates and images, as well as in the integrated FTP, forms and tables. Easy to understand instruction manual included with examples.

Downside / Limitations: Not very flexible. Not easy, either adapt. I do not like the page-naming convention (eg yourdomain/yoursite/002.htm), although this can be avoided by making your own templates.

123 wysiwyg: I have the best for last. WYSIWYG-123 was confirmed by a number of Internet providers, who know from experience what a site builder.

The creator of 123 WYSIWYG had two main things to consider:

1) Ease of use
2) good results.

This WYSIWYG is really easy to learn. Simply follow the 20-minute video tutorial for creating your first page and you have a nice site search in a fairly short time.

Another thing that a winner is the flexibility. On this, it could well beat some of the templates are much more expensive.

Java and custom HTML code and can simply (and good) by cutting / copying and pasting, typing, or drag and drop. Pictures simply inserted. You have choice of creating your own website from scratch or choose from the 100 + pre-made templates.

Preview as well as FTP, with the package.

If there is a WYSIWYG that I wholeheartedly recommend, it is.

Downside / Limitations: I did not encounter any.
